I am from philly and truly adore cheez wiz. While there is no wiz to be had here, the sandwich was without a doubt the ~best~ cheesesteak I have had since moving down here. The mushrooms and onions were perfectly fried and the ribeye beef was crispy and exceptional. The sandwich came with philly customer service - that is to say, only what is necessary. Giant delicious sandwich for a good price = two thumbs up. The 4 stars comes from sparse chips/soda selection and the "home of the philly cheesesteak" signage, which is pretty rich if you ask me. I bet their meatball sandwich is amazing as well. Will definitely return!

The only Philly Cheesesteak in Austin worth eating! Delicious in every way. Soft, fresh bread. Sweet peppers and hot peppers are a must! Mushrooms perfectly cooked and onions that are caramelized. Loads of gooey white American Cheese and to top it off, ketchup. Normally I am not a fan of that last bit, but I was lucky enough to have a friend bring me to this hidden Austin original dive several years ago and insist that I get it all the way. I suggest you take the same advice. Mmmm, mmm, good! Don't miss 2 for 1 Sundays.

Completely authentic bona fide Eastern-style subs. What more do you want? *************** Footnote: What passes for subs in Texas in places that are not Delaware subs is obscene. These are not appropriate for Children under the age of 18, Adults over the age 18 or 18 year olds. Artificial turkey loaf? Mayonnaise on subs? Sysco industrial meat products? Subway gets a partial pass because you can turn their subs into salads which exempts them from the East Coast Decency Rules of the Minimum Standards Concerning a Submarine Sandwich. Jersey Mike's almost gets it. Quizno's and the like? Spare me please.

It's utterly incomprehensible to me that Delaware has less than 5 stars at all. I haven't read the negative reviews, but they couldn't have been about the quality of their philly cheesesteaks, because they are by far the best ones that I have ever had in my life, and they have been nearly 100% consistent for the 5+ years I have been coming here. I've had so many other 5 star rated philly locations sandwiches that just still come absolutely no where near the level of taste, quantity, and quality that Delaware does. Ignore the negative reviews, because this place is a gold mine.

These guys have really come a long way since my first review. In the past I have seen this place hit highs and lows, and, for a while, kinda stayed on the low. For the past year I've been frequenting them more often because they are close to work and convenient for me to do so. They have made some changes since my last review. They now do breakfast, have added a couple extra subs, and, THEY HAVE BEER AND WINE!!! Limited selections, nothing to get all hot and bothered by, but, a certain plus!! They have also added a roofed deck with a TV. Good job by these guys. Definitely well deserved two star upgrade that I am happy to give. The customer service has greatly improved, as has the quality of the sandwich. Speaking of which, you can get any sub as a wrap!! Furthermore, they give you options for add-on's like sweet and hot peppers. I love the cherry peppers, and, the juicy mess they make! Their subs are delicious, and, you can get them on wheat or white. Also, as I previously pointed out, you can get them as a wrap. They have daily sandwich specials for around $5, and, you can make that a combo for around $7. Not a bad deal at all. I will continue to be a regular here as long as these guys keep doing the great job that they have been. I get 30 minutes for lunch, and, when I don't pack my own, I call these guys. I'm able to walk over there, get my sandwich combo (includes chips and drink for under $10), and eat it there in less than 20 - 25 minutes!
